The Dragon Ball Z story picks up several years after the original Dragon Ball series. Goku now has a son named Gohan, after his grandfather. All of a sudden, a mysterious guy named Raditz comes form outer space. He tells Goku that he is his brother and that they are Saiyajins, a race of warriors who take over planets. He hits Goku and takes Gohan. Goku has to go get his old enemy, Piccolo, to help him defeat Raditz. They both fight Raditz, and Goku sacrifices himself to kill him. (Piccolo uses a makankosappo to drill through both) In his dying breath, Raditz tells Piccolo that two more powerful Saiyajins, Vegeta and Nappa, are coming to earth in a year. Goku, in heaven (or whatever you wanna call it), has to run across a 1,000,000 mile road that will take him to Kaio-sama, the ultimate martial arts teacher.
